It's hard to believe it's been 23 years since I put this compilation together. The insert note tells the tale. These tapes were created/shared in the mid 80's to early 90's. A time when you had to purchase these gems for yourself ---either the original vinyl or on reissue compilations.... i.e. no internet sharing!

Very cool! I had some very similar experiences back in the day so I can definitely relate to what you're saying. As far as concerns this particular mix, some of the tracks are old favorites for me, but there are also several that I really didn't know. I could mention, by the way, that Track #10 is actually titled "The New Raunchy" and is by one Shady Wall (who is in fact Webb Pierce recording under a pseudonym).
