Heavy Rotation...1991

OK...what we have here is a mix tape I made in 1991. I recently moved to Toledo & was working long hours. The tunes here were "new" to me as I explored record stores, thrift shops, garage sales...etc. The Ice T tracks came from a cd my friend gave me as he just landed a job with Warner Bros. records & had promos to distribute. This was my first exposure to some sort of rap music, although this is more of a rocking track. Funny thing...Ice T would sing "Cop Killer" with his band Body Count...then later make all his $$$ playing a cop on TV !!

A couple of my favorite record stores in Michigan...

FYI ...H-302 was my apartment number!

Classic LP 1974

Here we go again….another full classic LP share that was taken direct from the original pressing on vinyl. I’ve been acquiring these from a collector who bought them back in day and stored them unplayed (or lightly played) for over 50years. They have recently been digitized to mp4 files (sorry no FLAC) for listening. Each file is the entire side of the LP, just as if you put the record on the turntable. No individual tracks, no tagging of each track & no album art displayed when playing. So be aware of this.

For me…I’m grabbing these to give a listen to stuff I never owned or back in the day I had different musical tastes. There are a few that once made it to my turntable but have now been sold.

Today's offering is from 10cc with their second LP "Sheet Music".

ENJOY!

Exploring the Joe Bussard Collection. Vol. 28

A new batch of records sold from Joe's stash. I'll try to keep these going when time permits....

Kokomo Arnold's "Doin' the Doopiddy" puts a big smile on my face. Great tune!
