Here's a project I've been wanting to do for several years now. I recently stumbled across The Arondies doing "69" and kicked the project into full gear. I was lucky enough to see The Cynics back in Ohio & PA in their early career...multiple times. This was the mid-80's so finding some of the originals they covered....wasn't that easy. Such a fan I was that when my new wife & I moved out west for work....I learned one night The Cynics would be playing a local bar. This of course was on the night of our new friends.....wedding! Of course we left the wedding early!!
Viva The Cynics!!!
Seen them with Plan 9 @ the infamous Electric Banana in Pittsburgh:

Thank you!
Thanks! Never heard of The Cynics until they opened for the Ramones on 2.20.87 in the basement of the old Syria Mosque (RIP) in Pittsburgh, PA. Stood 4ft. away from the huge wall of left side speakers. Couldn’t hear out of my left ear for 3 days after the show. Loved The Cynics ever since that night.
Oddly...I saw them there too!! But they opened for The Cramps. However...Lux didn't like the venue so he & the band never took the stage.
Oddly (again)!!!...I saw the Ramones in downtown Youngstown & did the same as you...standing near a wall of speakers....also couldn't hear out of my ear for 3 or 4 days.
Great memories!!
