A few re-ups..
A few collections have been uploaded again as the links went dead (I was alerted to this...) This time using zippy which seems to keep them alive longer...but poses problems in several countries. I will look into setting up an account on mediafire...but there may be some pesky ads (for the free service). Trying to make everyone welcome/happy. I can do re-ups when requested & time permits.

It's the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and there are an abundant number of programs on the TV highlighting this event. But... the moon wasn't just a destination for man...it has its place in music as well. There's plenty more out there...but this collection comes from searchin' the vault here.

Before grunge ....
Doing a fast forward post here. When grunge hit in the early '90s...it caught my ear. Something exciting! As I consumed much from the bands of the time...I was surprised to find this collection with some originals covered by a famous band outta Seattle. Searchin' back in time for originals of tunes I like...is the Indiana Jones in me.

Dipsie Doodle Jukebox
The was interest expressed in an earlier post with the same theme. So here's another. From the original post:
A step back in history circa 1941 Clarksdale Mississippi. I found this info in the book “Escaping the Delta: Robert Johnson and the Invention of the Blues” by Elijah Wald. In the index there were lists of the records in the jukeboxes in various juke-joints at that time. This list was compiled by the Fisk University-Library of Congress team. This team included Samuel Adams, Lewis Jones , Alan Lomax and John Work. These lists, give us a chance to hear what was being played in the juke-joints at the time of the great country blues artists. Not all music listened to by these patrons was blues related. Many were focused on dancing. All in all..an interesting slice of American music history!
I have compiled from various sources (hence various bit-rates) two of the juke-joints visited. Presented here...is the second..

Back in the saddle after Nashville! Great city...but alot of changes since my last visit (2009). Terrible traffic. But the music related sites are well worth it. Here's a nice mix that sure to have a favorite.....
