Sounds of the 60's Vol. 28
Another batch of 60s era gems. The Lollipop Shoppe's entry should be in everyone's collection from this era....
Going through this excellent collection right now. One song is a mystery to me, in that I see nothing about it on the webs. The Rivals - You Talk Too Much. Can you provide the label and year of release, and their home town? I host a 60's obscurities radio show in North Carolina and this song is too good to be a mystery.
Great collection. I host a 60's obscurities radio show in North Carolina called All Heart But No Chart. One song on this volume is a complete mystery to me...Rivals - You Talk Too Much. Can you provide me with the label, year of release and the group's home base? I'd like to play this on my show.
I went from knowing NOTHING about The Rivals, to having a 37 page pdf. That sounds like a win to me! It seems this was an unreleased recording from 1966, and that the group was based in Godalming Surrey. And, I've got band photos as well! Many thanks. My show is All Heart But No Chart. it airs Thursday from 4-6 PM Eastern US at whupfm.org. My two most recent shows are available on-demand at https://whupfm.org/show/all-heart-but-no-chart/.
@Ken...GREAT! I likely got the tune from eBay as I am always hunting for odd/non-charted music that gracious sellers put up full song files. If I like it...I grab it for future sharing on my site.
I will check out your radio show...sounds like one I would really like.
