Here's the latest collection from you-know-where....Mostly R&B /blues here. I tried to collect the less common sides (at least to me!).
The side that took me by surprise was Georgia White's "Georgia Man". I hadn't heard of her before. This was released in 1937. I've got to check out more of her stuff...and her guitarist--Ickey Robinson !!

Thanks for Volume (phew) 93!
Your comment about "Georgia Man" piqued my interest, so I fired that track right up
and gave a listen. I can definitely see why you're intrigued: that's some extremely
tasty, not to mention extremely proficient guitar playing!
I've now discovered that, although Georgia White is known to have been accompanied by
several outstanding guitarists over the years, including (in addition to Ikey
Robinson) Lonnie Johnson, Teddy Bunn, and even -- reportedly -- Les Paul, it's often
unclear which particular guitarist really is featured on which particular recording(s).
At any rate, I do, as a music-hoarding pack rat (you may have heard of this condition
before) have all sorts of stuff filed away to be played "later on." To my own
surprise, the aforementioned stuff appears to include Ms. White's complete output
from 1930 to 1941, though I might never really have noticed if not for this post of
yours. There's also a folder with some booklet and cover scans.
I can't remember which music blog I downloaded the bundle from in the first place.
But here it is for you to check out if you like:
