Essential Listening...
As mentioned in an earlier post, I'm a HUGE rockabilly fan. So when I first heard a selection from this group...I was on the hunt. Mind you...this was in the mid 80's & vinyl was still king. I once held the original CORAL LP in my tremblin' hands at JERRY'S RECORDS in Pittsburgh (still got marks where it scorched me!). I offered them $250 for it but at that time they were asking $400. So leave it the re-issue specialists to get this gem out. After all these years...still a favorite.

Happy 90th Cliff !!!
One of my favorite guitarists would have turned 90 today...and even though Cliff is no longer with us...the fiery tracks he recorded with Gene Vincent still power my speakers.
Today we have the 35 tracks he recorded with him. His playing has influenced many.

Super RARE--- from the BARNes gang.....
Ok...since there was some interest of this short lived band.....here's some super rare (ever available to the public?) demos. I obtained these from a radio DJ (in Ohio) who got them from The Gibson Bros. Members of The Gibson Bros. owned OKRA records...the label Ricky was on.
Any Gibson Bros. fans here? I'm talkin' about the guys also from Columbus.
So..here we have 3 3/4 (1 song starts late!) early versions of tunes that made the LP.
This may only be up for a limited time.

The High Sheriff
Back in the '80s living in Ohio, I was lucky enough to learn about Ricky Barnes & The Hoot Owls. This was then labeled "Alternative Country". To me...it was just... good ol' country music redone right.
