FLATHEAD !!

Regulars to this site know...I do compilations mostly. That's how I like to listen to music....Blind Blake could be followed by The Germs who could be followed by The Chocolate Watchband.....etc. But every once in a while I crave a band/genre that must be listened to satisfy my ears.

For country twang that is somewhat current...this Arizona based band...never let's me down. Seen them several times...always a winner.

Check out Greg's playing...right handed Tele --strung right handed---played left handed!

a sample of them live...

Songs We Taught The Cynics !!

Here's a project I've been wanting to do for several years now. I recently stumbled across The Arondies doing "69" and kicked the project into full gear. I was lucky enough to see The Cynics back in Ohio & PA in their early career...multiple times. This was the mid-80's so finding some of the originals they covered....wasn't that easy. Such a fan I was that when my new wife & I moved out west for work....I learned one night The Cynics would be playing a local bar. This of course was on the night of our new friends.....wedding! Of course we left the wedding early!!

Viva The Cynics!!!

Seen them with Plan 9 @ the infamous Electric Banana in Pittsburgh:
